Core Beer: Extra Pale Ale
The beer you’ll be reaching for all summer.
We’ve got a new addition to the BNA core lineup—and it’s everything we want in a pint.
Our Extra Pale Ale (XPA) brings big hop flavour without the heaviness. It's light, bright, and endlessly drinkable—a crisp and citrusy nod to the top-selling craft style in Australia.
What’s an XPA?
Short for Extra Pale Ale, this style is lighter than your average Pale Ale and typically features a lean malt profile, lower ABV, and bold hop aromatics. It’s clean, refreshing, and all about hop-forward flavour without overwhelming bitterness.
The Details
Style: Extra Pale Ale
ABV: 5%
IBU: 30
It pours a straw-gold with bright clarity and a fluffy white head. On the nose and palate, expect candied peaches, pineapple, passionfruit, and tropical citrus. Crisp and clean with a pleasantly dry finish.
The Hops That Bring It Home
This one leans on the southern hemisphere:
Nectaron (NZ) and Galaxy (AUS) lead the charge with lush peach and citrus character. They're supported by Citra, Mosaic, and Calypso to layer in tropical fruit, light pine, and a hint of sweetness. All resting on a base of Pilsner and Wheat malt to keep it bright and balanced.
Why on our core line-up?
Because it’s a beer we keep coming back to. Flavourful without being too much, approachable without being boring—this one’s made to be a go-to.
Now pouring and here to stay.
